Start with the main issue
Tell us whether you would like advice on separation, divorce, custody, contact arrangements, maintenance or a review of earlier measures. If several issues are connected, a short list helps organise them.
You do not need to resolve every question in your first message. That initial contact helps prepare the consultation and identify which information will be useful.
Mention any earlier agreements or decisions
If there is already an agreement, a judgment or other decisions, mention this when arranging your appointment. You can also tell us whether proceedings are under way or you are seeking initial guidance.
The firm will tell you which documents it needs to review. The selection depends on the issues you wish to raise and the agreed scope of the review.
Prepare the questions you would like answered
The situation you want to clarify, what has changed and the decisions you still need to make are useful starting points for the conversation. Writing down your questions will help you remember the points that matter to you.
During the consultation, we organise the background information and examine the options that may be considered. Any subsequent action is agreed according to your case.
Agree the time and scope
When requesting an appointment, tell us if you need documents reviewed. An advice consultation and a more extensive document review require different arrangements.
You can get in touch by phone, WhatsApp or email. Before an engagement begins, you will receive the proposed work and its fees. If you are using a voucher, the time and document review included in that offer will apply.
